Youtube is basically my homepage.  The most annoying thing to me is when you aren’t able to skip whatever commercial happens to play before my selected video, but one really did catch my attention.  If you frequent Youtube at all in the past two weeks there isn’t a chance you haven’t seen this commercial.

Samsung decided to go on full on attack mode or their Galaxy S3 against the iPhone 5 during the much-anticipated launch of the new phone.  The general public was not as impressed with the new features of the new iPhone as the Apple enthusiasts were.  The setting of the commercial is in line at several Apple stores with people camping out waiting for the new phone.  Some of the new features are pointed out in a very mocking way, such as when the main has his mind blown by how innovative putting the headphone jack at the bottom of the phone is.  They also show one fan trying to spin the new adapter needed for the dock into a good thing.  Samsung then shows some of the benefits of their phone by emphasizing the large screen and how easy sharing information is on the phone. The most interesting thing I found in the commercial though was that the customers waiting in line with the Samsung S3 were just holding their parents’ spot in line.  That makes the position that Samsung wants to take very clear, they are young and hip and iPhones are now for the old.
